Introduction

The first London Chamber of Commerce and Industry International (LCCI) Qualifications examinations were held in 1887. For more than 100 years LCCI certificates have been widely regarded as passports to employment around the world.

  2. Module Description
    Book-Keeping
    (Level 1)
    This qualification tests the candidate’s understanding of the basic principles underlying the recording of business transactions, and the ability to maintain the books of, and prepare final accounts for, sole traders and non-trading organizations through the use of double-entry.
    Book-Keeping & Accounts
    (Level 2)
    This qualification tests the candidate’s understanding of the recording of business transactions and the ability to prepare and interpret accounts for sole traders, partnerships, non-trading organizations and limited companies.

    Course Duration: Part-time: 3-4 mths


  3. Certificate in Customer Service

    Customer Service
    (Level 2)
    This qualification tests a candidate’s knowledge of the key elements of good customer service and the systems and procedures that enhance delivery of reliable and effective service. Candidates are required to demonstrate an understanding of personal behaviors that enhance service through realistic situations.

  5. Certificate in English for Business

    English for Business
    (Level 2)
    This qualification is appropriate for those who wish to gain an understanding of English within a business context. The core examination is a writing and reading test in which candidates are required to complete business related tasks. These include reading comprehension exercises, writing letters, memos or reports and using data to complete forms or diagrams.

    Course Duration: Part-time: 5 mths, Full-time: 6 mths


  7. Diploma in Marketing  

  8. Module Description
    Advertising This qualification tests the candidate’s knowledge and understanding of the key areas associated with advertising, including developing relevant advertising messages, delivery of messages to relevant audiences, production of material and the appropriate laws and codes of practice.
    Public Relations This qualification is intended for those who wish to acquire a background of the core activities found in both public relations consultancy and in-house departments. Candidates are tested on methods, techniques, channels of communication and media relations.
    Selling & Sales Management This qualification is designed for people working in sales or wishing to work in sales management. The qualification tests the candidate’s knowledge and understanding of the key selling techniques and management of the entire sales process.
    Marketing This qualification offers a broad overview of the subject and the role of the marketing professional. Main topics tested include maketing implementation, strategies and tactics, international marketing, the internet, market research, analysis and decision making.

    Course Duration: Part-time: 6-7 mths, Full-time: 6mths


  9. Group Diploma in Accounting  

  10. Module Description
    Accounting This qualification is intended for those who work or wish to work in an advanced area of accounting. Candidates must be able to produce regular accountancy statements and explain their meaning to management. The IAS variant offers candidates the opportunity to prepare accounting statements and data in accordance with current International Accounting Standards.
    Cost Accounting This qualification is appropriate for those who are intending to work in an accounting environment at a level that requires cost accounting knowledge and skill as well as an understanding of cost accounting principles and practices in a variety of business settings.
    Management Accounting This qualification is appropriate for managers who require reliable accounting data to forecast and control day-to-day activity. Candidates require an understanding of short-term cost behavior and of using accounting information in the decision-making process.

    Course Duration: Part-time: 9-10 mths, Full-time: 6 mths


Prerequisites

Applicants must have at least one of the following:

  • Above 16 years old (for certificate entry only)
  • 1 GCE ‘N’ Level pass
  • 1 GCE ‘O’ Level pass
  • LCCI Level 2 Certificate in Book-Keeping or NITEC / Higher NITEC
